| July 1, I went and fly fished the docks at Cedar Creek Lake. I landed 5 different species over the night. Spotted gar, Largemouth bass, Yellow bass, White bass, and Hybrid Striped bass. I lost a channel catfish at the boat, but it was a great night. We launched from Big Chief in Gun Barrel City. We got there in time for the schooling white bass, and took a quick sandwich break between the schoolies and the docks. | |||

| Took the TXFishes pontoon boat to Cedar Creek June 16. Wind was howling, but we caught several white bass and undersized hybred striped bass schooling before dark. Then the fun began. We landed close to 100 white bass, a couple undersizes hybreds, and Donny finally landed a legal hybred on the fly. That baby hybred owned him. Complete pandamonium for 10 + minutes. 4 spotted gar were landed, a couple channel catfish, and a lost largemouth. Countless Yellow bass, even using big flies to avoid them. Brilliant trip, need to go back soon. | |||
